Profile settings let you personalize your personal information within the platform, update your photo, and manage your account security. Profile settings are individual — each team member has their own profile.

Accessing profile settings

In the sidebar, click Settings. The Profile tab is the default view of the settings section.

Profile data

Your name as it appears to other team members in the members list and activity logs. It is not shown to end customers in service conversations.
The email is the primary identifier of your account. To change the email, contact support — it cannot be edited directly in the interface for security reasons.
Optional field. May be used by the Timely.ai support team for contact.
Free text to identify your role in the company (e.g., “Customer Service Manager”, “Developer”). Visible only internally to team members.
Select the company’s industry from the available fields: health & wellness, beauty, education, technology, consulting, legal, financial, or other. This information is used to calibrate the BI Dashboard benchmark.

Updating your profile photo

Click the current photo or camera icon

In the profile section, click the avatar area to open the file selector.

Select an image

Choose an image from your device. Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, and WebP. Maximum size: 5 MB.

Wait for the upload

The image is uploaded and processed automatically. The avatar is updated in the interface as soon as the upload finishes.
To remove the current photo without replacing it, click the trash icon that appears when hovering over the avatar.

Saving changes

After editing the desired fields, click Save changes at the bottom of the form. The button is enabled only when there are differences from the original data. A confirmation toast appears when the changes are saved successfully.

Account security

The security section is on the same settings page, below the profile data.

Changing the password

Enter the current password

Type your current password in the Current password field to confirm your identity.

Set the new password

Type the new password in the New password field. Minimum requirements: 8 characters.

Confirm the new password

Repeat the new password in the Confirm new password field.

Save

Click Change password. The password is updated immediately and you remain logged in.
After changing the password, sessions open on other devices are not automatically terminated. If you suspect unauthorized access, change the password and contact support.

Notifications

Notification preferences are in the Notifications tab within Settings. You can configure:
  • Alerts for new conversations assigned to you
  • Daily email summaries
  • BI Dashboard budget alerts (when applicable to your role)
Notifications are individual — each member configures their own preferences independently.
